Eight Steps To The Epiphany: Principles For Designing Effective Innovation Experiments

An important part of innovation is running experiments. At the heart of this practice is the understanding that no product should be launched at scale before its business model is tested and validated. However, most innovators struggle with running experiments in a consistent way. How do they identify their assumptions? How do they set minimum success criteria? How do they get out of the building and get meaningful data? How do they use data to generate insights and make decisions? This talk presents eight key steps that innovators can follow to design great innovation experiments.

Dr Tendayi Viki is the founder and principal consultant at Benneli Jacobs, a strategy and innovation consultancy firm that helps companies develop internal ecosystems so they can innovate like startups.

He holds a PhD in Psychology and an MBA. He has worked as a consultant for several companies including Pearson, Standard Bank, The British Museum, The World Bank, General Electric and Whirlpool. He is also a Contributor at Forbes Magazine.

Dr Viki co-designed and helped implement Pearson's Product Lifecycle which is an innovation framework that won Best Innovation Program 2015 at the Corporate Entrepreneur Awards in New York.
